COLUMBIA, SC — May 27, 2014 — During the last decade, South Carolina-based Alliance Consulting Engineers has grown into one of the state’s largest civil and environmental engineering firms. As the firm celebrates its 10th anniversary, company leaders look to the promise of growth on the horizon.
“We are thrilled and honored to reach the milestone of our 10th anniversary, especially considering the economic challenges our nation has experienced in the last decade,” said Deepal S. Eliatamby, company founder and President. “We believe our success is a testament to the talented people we have on our team, and our great clients who have let us use our skills to streamline their projects and save them time and money.” Alliance currently has offices in Bluffton, Columbia and Greenville, SC and Charlotte, NC.
To date, Alliance has worked on more than 900 projects, spanning all 46 counties in S.C. and many projects in North Carolina, Georgia and other Southeastern States. One area of concentration has been economic development and working with companies that are building new facilities or expanding existing ones. High-profile companies Alliance has assisted include Continental Tire, Nephron Pharmaceuticals Corporation, Adidas, BMW, QVC, Home Depot, Monster.com, Amazon.com, Toray Industries and numerous others. In total, Alliance has worked with projects that represent over $8 billion in industrial development and have led to the creation of more than 25,000 jobs.
Alliance also has assisted cities and counties in the Southeast with infrastructure projects. These projects include more than 200 miles of water and wastewater lines, numerous water and wastewater treatment facilities, speculative industrial buildings, industrial site certifications and master plans, and roadway plans. Additionally, the company has helped its clients secure more than $100 million in grants and low-interest loans to help finance infrastructure improvements. Outside of the company’s work with clients, Eliatamby notes that one area they are most proud of is company’s focus on community service, which he believes is key to success.
“Charitable giving has been one of our highest priorities from the beginning,” Eliatamby said. “Our team is committed to a wide variety of community service projects from adopting highways to participating in walks to raise money for cancer research.”
For its accomplishments, Alliance was honored in 2013 by Capital Corporation, Integrated Media Publishing, and others as one South Carolina’s 25 fastest growing businesses, based on financial and employee growth between 2010 and 2012. Also in 2013, Alliance was ranked in the annual Grant Thornton South Carolina 100 as one of South Carolina’s 100 largest privately held companies, based on innovation, expansion, talent, culture and agility. Most recently, in 2014, Alliance was recognized as one of the top design firms in the Southeast by Engineering News-Record, a leading construction industry publication.
The company is poised for continued success and expansion as it enters its second decade of client service. “We are grateful to our clients for their ongoing support and for helping us earn the honor of being one of the Southeast’s fastest growing companies,” said Eliatamby. “As we celebrate ten years of client service, we look forward to even more growth in the Southeastern U.S.”
